Here’s another one of my simple three ingredient creation, the Spag-Wich, it’s a cross between Spaghetti and a Sandwich. How cool is that? The purpose of my creations is to change things up, to make School Lunches exciting again for our children. When we go to fancy restaurants we love the creativity in deserts, mains etc. Heston Blumenthal is an outstanding Chef, one of the best in the world, and what makes his food so exciting is that it’s designed to trick the senses. That’s my aim, however on a much smaller scale, and for our kids. Today’s creation is a simple spaghetti looking lunch using sandwich ingredients.
The Spag-Wich is so simple, you can use any bread, wholemeal, wholegrain, white or sour dough. Firstly, take out your rolling pin, knife and your three ingredients, bread, tomatoes and cheese.
Cut the crusts off, I freeze the crusts and make bread crumbs with them, so don’t throw them out. Using a rolling pin flatten the bread.
With a knife cut the bread into strips, you can cut thin strips for a spaghetti look or even wider for more of a fettuccine look.
Pick up the strips of bread (spaghetti) and mix them up to create a spaghetti look, pop it into the Bento Box and add the ingredients.
How easy is that? At times the simplest things in life are the best, it’s how we choose to use them that makes them completely awesome! I hope you enjoy it. If you would like to see the video of this creation just click HERE!
